Sweetness itself

Regular readers will know that this blog is as much a Maria Sharapova fan site as it is a spanking fiction one – she does inspire me rather, divine goddess that she is – so it’s over to the sports desk for the latest news on everyone’s favourite sexy tennis player.

The bad news first: Maria has had to withdraw from the imminent US Open tournament (a biggie) with an injured shoulder. Poor Maria. (And poor us, not getting to see her in action). She plans to take the next few weeks off in order to receive “proper treatment and rehabilitation.” You don’t know how much I would love to help with that.

The cheerier news: Maria’s brand of sweets (you do know that she has a popular range of confectionery, right?) has just celebrated its first birthday. As a publicity stunt, Maria apparently pondered changing her surname (for the duration of the US Open) to Sugarpova. How funny would that have been, the umpire and commentators calling her ‘Miss Sugarpova’ every two minutes? :D (Of course it was just an idle threat, but Maria got the publicity for it anyway. So crafty!)

Just because I can, here’s a photo of the lovely Miss S in perfect serving condition. Get better soon, Maria!

P.S. In homage to Miss Sugarpova, readers are invited to suggest a suitable alias for yours truly. ‘Ivana Shpankin’, perhaps?

  1. Penelope, they may not have allowed the Sugapova stunt. Possibly the US might have, they seem to be more lax with things like that, but it would not have flown at Wimbledon.

    1. Welcome back, Aunty! :D I hope your holiday was nice.

And Wimbledon not going for Maria's stunt? You cannot be serious! ;-)

  2. Dear Ms Honey Pentova,
You fellow Maria addict here - I followed the shenanigans of our girl's promotion last week with great amusement - well done Maria!
Is there a Candy Stripe Sugerpova in the range? I have an excellent idea for another stunt to promote the range if so, particularly appropriate after her cheeky behaviour last week ... first take the cane to the Sharapova bottom (or perhaps Maria wielding it on you) to produce a few well spaced tramlines across that delectable rear, then photograph that with its owner smiling somewhat ruefully sucking on a few candy strip sweets with her tounge extended! A guaranteed winner! Well for you and I anyway...

    1. Honey Pentova - I love it! :D

And that promotional shoot sounds like a wonderful idea. Maybe Maria could play me at tennis to see who got to wield the cane and who got to receive it...

Pretty much a foregone conclusion, methinks!

  3. Good morning star player Penitenia Bendova.. Publicity stunts at Wimbledon,What next? If I was in charge there'd be a lot more discipline and women players would wear standard pleated skirts, tops and white plimsolls. Stunts or arguing with the umpire would result in a penalty spanking in front of the crowd..I'm no sexist - you can discipline the male players..)

    Advantage Miss Hasler!

    1. Penitenia Bendova, lol :)

Not sure I can go along with your outfit rules, but I have absolutely no qualms about the penalty spanking one!

"Out? That ball was IN! Get your eyes tested!" *smashes racquet and flings it into the crowd*

    3. Demotion to a ball girl, you say? I just so happen to have written a little scene about precisely that :)

    4. That's a lovely story, Penny. I was thinking of writing a similar fantasy but it renders mine redundant.Very hot stuff especially if you had once been a promising tennis player but a bit of a brat and the tables are now completely turned..) Now hurry up with the lemon barley Water -you wouldn't want to displease Mistress Maria..)

    5. You're very kind, Mr X. Glad you enjoyed it :) And I'm sure any story you wrote would be super.

But you're quite right - I most certainly wouldn't want to displease Mistress Maria! Incur her fearsome wrath... and her righteous discipline...

      Mmm...

Sorry, miles away for a moment there.

    1. Aw, me too, Timmy. She's had problems with her shoulder before and done amazingly well to come back. But then she's a champ. <3

And that is a cute outfit indeed! Makes me wonder how much anyone's mind would be on the tennis. Mine included.

  8. Lucky Penny,

your scenario needs one more character. As you attempt to serve and please an understandably grumpy Maria, she's sure to want to smack you - making her sore shoulder all the more of a nuisance! Who can she get to help?

    1. Ah yes - this had occurred to me too. Can't have Maria exacerbating her injury spanking her bratty companion (deserving as she may be), can we?

      But who to help? Hm...

How about the lovely Ana Ivanovic?
